2010 Workshop Summary

Creative Healing 2010 featured Mitch Carmody and Alan Pedersen, presenters of their Two Dads Workshop as the focal point of the program. These two men shared their journeys of loss through music, art and dialogue while emphasizing the extraordinary value of proactive grieving. This was an important event for anyone who has lost someone or supports another in bereavement.

In addition, everyone’s favorite percussionist, Michael Fitzsimmons, performed his musical magic, and Rita Paskowitz shared a story or two.

2009 Workshop Summary

Creative Healing 2009 offered a special two-day format, featuring an introductory evening dinner that culminated in a spellbinding keynote speech by the nationally-known author of THE KNITTING CIRCLE, Ann Hood. Ann’s heartfelt and beautifully told personal story set an incredible tone for the weekend and left everyone eager for more.

The next day, attendees chose three of the following concurrent workshops: Storytelling, Visual Art, Music, Poetry/Journaling and Movement/Dance and Comfort Coaching. Each of these encounters offered ninety minutes of hands-on experience and was taught by one of the region’s finest Arts Professionals. Combining compassion with education, these specially-designed activities helped integrate the Arts into personal and professional development. The day was punctuated by a continental breakfast and a hearty lunch and ended with another address by the incomparable Ann Hood.

And, as always, Centering Corporation had a full-service bookstore available throughout the event, offering a wide variety of titles to support the needs of all who attended.
